Is this BIG mistake hurting your chance to get more views on your videos?

“I feel as if I’m following the tips and tricks I’ve found to the best of my ability…”

– Sean (Gaming YouTuber)

Today we’re going to continue from yesterday’s email and answer the second biggest problem that Sean has with his channel.

This is something that I know a lot of new creators struggle with – especially if they lack patience

So, here’s the problem we’re going to solve:

“I feel as if I’m following the tips and tricks I’ve found to the best of my ability. Is it bad (in terms of hoping to rank in search) to consistently alter the tags of a video or my channel trying to find some that will yield results – instead of giving youtube a chance to index them?”

– Sean (Gaming YouTuber)

This is an easy question to answer…

Yes. It is bad to continually change your tags or anything related to SEO.

It takes time for YouTube to index your videos and decide whether your content is worth ranking highly or not. Sometimes it can takes minutes, but sometimes it can take months.

When you’re starting out, you should wait at least 6 months before editing your tags and other metadata. But this is only if you’re following the correct SEO strategies explained in chapter 4 of my book.

If you’ve recently purchased “A Gamer’s Guide To Greatness” and now you want to correct your old SEO mistakes because you’ve learned the best practices – that’s perfectly fine.

But changing your tags, description and title every few weeks because you’re not getting the results you wanted is like shooting yourself in the foot…

If you want to know how to re-optimise your old videos the RIGHT way then do this:

  1. Flip to chapter 10 of the “Gamer’s Guide To Greatness” (this chapter will show you how you can breathe new life into your old videos and give them a second, third or even fourth chance!) : http://GrowOnYouTube.com/Guide
  2. Read chapter 10, then refresh your SEO knowledge by reading through chapter 4 again as much as needed
  3. Use the strategies in those chapters to resurrect your videos that performed poorly

Now you can bring your old videos back from the dead and you can stop accidentally killing your new videos before they have a chance to live!

Remember that you need to be patient, if it was easy to be an overnight success… everyone would do it.

Play the long game. Expect videos to take up to a year to rank and work accordingly.

Keep producing content. You will look back in a year and wish that you made MORE videos once you see your hard work beginning to pay off.

However, if you’re hoping for fame, fortune and fans in a fortnight – you’re probably going to be miserable…

In the next email I’m going to be solving a problem that costs inexperienced YouTubers A LOT OF MONEY…

If you don’t want to end up wasting your money, you don’t want to miss that email.

And if you don’t want to waste any time growing your gaming channel and trying to do what you love for a living – “A Gamer’s Guide To Greatness” is what you need.

I wish I had this guide when I was starting out…

It would have saved me a buttload of trial and error. It also would’ve helped me get to where I am now in 2 years instead of 8+
