Sub 4 sub DOES work
I’ve got a secret to tell you.
Some people assume that I used sub 4 sub to get to over 30k subscribers…
That’s fucking stupid LMAO!
Do you know how much effort and time that would take??
But here’s the thing:
I DID do sub 4 sub when I first starting out on YouTube. (CLARIFICATION: I did this before I hit 1k subs)
I had no idea what worked on YouTube and I was trying EVERYTHING.
At the time, I was trying to grow my YouTube channel to promote my music…
A friend of mine, who was a music producer, told me how he was able to grow to 800 subscribers by doing sub 4 sub.
WOW!
800 subs!!
Listen, when I had less than 200 subs, 800 seemed like it was miles away…
I wanted a piece of the action.
So my buddy walked me through the sub 4 sub process. This is how it went back in the day:
You subscribe to a small channel
You comment on their channel page (remember when that was a thing?) to tell them you have subscribed and ask them to “sub back”
So that was the simple, 2-step sub 4 sub formula.
I would spend hours doing this at night…
After a while, I got my sub count to about 400!
But it doesn’t end there:
I realised, even though I had more subscribers, my new subs weren’t really watching my videos.
All those hours were wasted…
And all I had to show for it was a vanity number that did nothing.
So sub 4 sub DOES WORK. If you want useless subscribers that don’t care about your videos.
If you just want a higher sub number – sub 4 sub is great for that…
But what’s the point?
Having a larger sub number doesn’t ACTUALLY do anything for you.
It doesn’t guarantee:
- More views
- More money
- More fans
Building a long-term business is what’s REALLY important for your channel…
Don’t waste your time doing sub 4 sub.
