Jay Cartere is YouTube Certified
Over the past 3 days I have become *YouTube Certified*.
This means I now have a certificate from YouTube that says I know about:
- YouTube channel growth
- YouTube asset monetization
- YouTube content ownership
But here’s the interesting thing:
I started writing my book “A Gamer’s Guide To Greatness” in 2017.
I had about 15,000 subscribers at the time.
Some skeptics would suggest I needed 5 million subscribers before I started teaching others about YouTube growth.
And they were wrong. Let me explain.
I knew that the “YouTube For Noobs” system I had created for myself was foolproof and WORKED.
I tested the system on my own channel and I helped other YouTubers grow their channels with it.
The years I spent studying marketing and psychology also added a unique perspective that allowed me to add even more value.
And most of all, I knew that my knowledge would DEFINITELY help anyone with less than 10,000 subscribers.
Keeping that information to myself would’ve been a great disservice to the people who could be helped by it.
The lesson:
You just need to be ONE step ahead of the person you’re teaching.
You don’t need to be an *expert* or have *qualifications*, you just need to be able to deliver results.
Teaching is also a GREAT way to learn and improve your knowledge – because you have to able to communicate what you have learned in a comprehensive and understandable way.
So don’t worry about making a tutorial for a game you’re not the best at…
Just focus on helping those that haven’t got to where YOU are yet.
And as YOU learn more, you can teach more advanced stuff.
For the record:
The only reason I wasn’t *YouTube Certified* earlier is because it wasn’t open for submissions.
I KNEW my stuff very well before selling information – there’s no way around that.
But you can make free tutorial videos on YouTube while you figure stuff out…
