How to be insanely productive like big Jay Cartere

Let’s get to the heart of the matter:

If you’re not as productive as you want to be…

It’s usually because your life is comfortable enough to not HAVE to make a change.

I didn’t have that luxury.

I grew up poor as hell so I had 2 choices:

  1. Be poor for the rest of my life…doing some crappy job I dislike to scrape by.
  2. WORK my ASS off…then reattach my buttocks and repeat the process until I succeeded.

I picked option number 2 and I have no regrets!

Being forced into an uncomfortable situation forced me to overcome it…

But, some people would wallow in self-pity instead.

Living in poverty won’t necessarily push you to succeed…

You might not be built like me.

In light of that:

DO NOT purposely make yourself poor in order to feel the motivational benefits of having an empty stomach…

That’s stupid.

But here’s some things you CAN do:

1. Cut out negativity.

Get rid of people in your life that have NOTHING good to say.

Block people on the internet that want to spread their negativity all up in your personal space… IMMEDIATELY.

2. Do something you LOVE.

If you hate what you’re doing – it’s going to be pretty hard to be super productive.

I’m not going to lie – there are some boring tasks I do.

It’s necessary to keep my business running etc.

Sometimes I’m not in the mood to edit a 30 minute video…

But, guess what?

All that boring shxt gets DONE around here b.

Because I’m always looking at the bigger picture…and I have an almost uncontrollable need to FINISH the things I start.

However, in the case that you can’t depend on your neurological advantage (or disadvantage) to compel you to WORK.

Here’s the next best thing:

3. Have clearly defined goals you want to achieve.

I’m able to get up and get grinding every day because I know EXACTLY what I’m working towards and why I do what I do.

The “Why” behind your goal is even more important than the goal itself.

I could just sit around and play games for the next 2 years…

But:

I have an intense desire to spread my message and teach people how to create a life they actually WANT…

Why?

Because, when I started trying to chase my dreams there wasn’t a lot of support available.

There was limited information for me to learn HOW to get where I wanted to go.

And, the lack of information available had everyone around me (in the hood) thinking that doing something you ENJOY (except for trapping) was BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.

But, it’s not.

It’s very possible to do something you love if you’re willing to build a real business that provides value to people.

Then you need to learn how to market and run a business…

People have been doing this for YEARS.

Where do you think all these major companies came from?

What about the local shop you grab your groceries from?

They figured it out…

And, I want to help MORE people figure it out.

Especially young black dudes from the hood… cos that was me.

It’s important to me to let these gentlemen know that it’s VERY POSSIBLE to do something you love and NOT BE BROKE doing it.

If you’re not a young black dude from the hood you’re still welcome around here – don’t worry.

These gems are for errrrbody.

The more people that are able to wake up in the morning with a smile…the less Moany Mertle’s and Competitive Complainers there’ll be out there leaving misspelled comments on YouTube.

Anyways:

Having a clear plan to follow will boost your productivity by miles…

Struggling to figure out what you should be doing will definitely take time away from you actually working towards your goals.
