Adsense is not for small YouTubers
Adsense is an unreliable mess.
To make a MEAGRE LIVING off adsense you generally NEED at least a million MONETIZED views per month on your YouTube channel.
It depends on the type of content you make…
If you make gaming content you will generally get paid less.
But if you make content around tech or business, you’ll get paid more because advertisers in these industries spend more money.
The thing is:
Even if you have the greatest CPM rate on earth, adsense is still the SLOWEST WAY to earn money on YouTube.
It’s not even available to small YouTubers that haven’t gained 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time yet.
And when you hit those numbers, good luck waiting to get approved to be *allowed* to make money with your content.
Don’t make the mistake of chasing adsense pennies like most new YouTubers.
Like I did when I started to take YouTube seriously…
Do this instead:
Forget about getting millions of views every video.
That happens for the top 0.1% of channels on YouTube.
Chasing views and adsense will have you stuck on the YouTube hamster wheel, pumping out video after video that die after a week – leading to another case of *YouTuber Burnout*.
Focus on making MORE money with LESS views instead – like pretty much everyone else in the middle class of YouTube (less that 1 million subscribers).
The EASIEST way for you to make more money with your YouTube channel is to use affiliate marketing and evergreen content.
You’ll earn more from 1 person buying something using your link than you would from 100,000 views if you pick the right affiliate program.
And your video will get new viewers FOREVER.
That means you’ll be able to go full-time on YouTube quicker and earn money in YOUR SLEEP.
Remember:
To succeed in business you need to think outside of the box.
And don’t EVER forget – having a YouTube channel is having a small business.
Whether it’s a successful business or not – is up to you.
But before you can bend the rules, you need to know the rules.
