How To Get Your First 100 Subscribers On YouTube In Less Than A Month!

Getting your first 100 subscribers on YouTube doesn’t have to be hard. It’s actually pretty simple once you know what you’re doing. If you follow the tips I’m going to share with you in this (video) post and you watch my other free tip videos you’ll get your first 100 subscribers in a month, a week or even a few days – how long it takes will depend on how much effort and time you put into it.

1) Be Consistent

I know every other YouTuber and their mother says this but it’s true. Consistency is a must if you want to grow efficiently and quickly. Uploading whenever you feel like with no schedule or organisation will be detrimental to your growth.

You may also upload a few videos and then get discouraged because they don’t get a lot of views – don’t do that. It happens and its something you need to learn to be okay with. Every video you put out won’t be a hit, but the more videos you put out the better chance you’ll have of creating a video that pops off.

Staying consistent will also encourage people to subscribe because they can see that you’re going to continue uploading content and you appear reliable. Try to upload at least 3 videos a week if you want to grow, preferably at least 5.

2) Make A Bunch Of Tip Videos

Tip videos and how to videos that are properly optimised for SEO and focus on specific keywords and phrases have great potential to bring in viewers. More viewers equals more subscribers.

But one little tip video won’t do it and neither will a bunch of tip videos on different subjects. You really need to niche down and pick one subject that you are knowledgable about or enjoy and focus on cranking out helpful videos on that. This will allow people who come to check out one of your tip videos to see that you have a bunch more information on the subject. That will make them much more likely to subscribe.

3) Learn About SEO

YouTube is a search engine owned by the biggest search engine. Ranking in search is pretty much the only feasible way for small YouTubers to reliably break through all the noise on YouTube. You should really dedicate some time into learning about search engine optimisation as it will greatly improve your knowledge of how to rank on YouTube and make content that is more likely to rank high.

You can just hire someone to do the SEO for you if you’d like – I offer video SEO services on growonyoutube.com – but I urge you to at least get to grips with the basics of SEO and how to implement it on your channel.

4) Don’t Quit

Putting your heart and soul into a video and only getting 3 views can be soul crushing, but don’t let it get to you. Every failure is an opportunity to see what doesn’t work and that is valuable information.

Most people who don’t get to 100 subscribers on YouTube either quit or they upload so infrequently and erratically that they are unable to build any community or subscriber base. Don’t let that be you. Focus on your channel and don’t get disheartened by the fact that another channel is growing faster than you. Instead try to find the opportunity to learn from other channel’s successes and failures so you may improve your own YouTube channel.

5) Ask People To Subscribe

In your videos you should have a call to action, either at the start or the end of your video, asking people to subscribe to your channel for more content similar to the video your making. You should let them know that more content is on the way and if they like the video they’re currently watching they should stick around and subscribe.

Try to keep it brief and simple as you don’t want to confuse the potential viewer or ask them to do too many things as that can often lead to inaction.

You can also link your YouTube channel on your social media and ask people to subscribe there. Just make sure that you’re doing this in your own public feed and you’re not spamming people.

6) Use Custom Thumbnails

Thumbnails are really important when it comes to getting people to click on your video. Simply having a randomised still image from your video is not going to inspire confidence in your video or your channel. Try to appear professional, there are free sites online where you can create custom thumbnails for your videos.

Try to maintain the same colours or theme for each thumbnail for branding purposes and check out a few of the hundreds of videos that show you how to create a custom thumbnail. I’ll be making a video on that also – so that’ll be linked here when that’s out.

If you don’t want to make custom thumbnails yourself or you’re not able to – you can always hire me to create a custom thumbnail for you as that’s a service that I offer –  you can get 20% off with the code First100 now!

These tips should help you on your journey to getting your first 100 subscribers on YouTube, good luck!
